CPU hogged by application MSKSrvr.exe

  gingerb 22:42 11 Nov 06

Above exe file hogs +/- 95% of my CPU. Taking it out with Task Master restores things to normal. I think this is a McAfee program, so I want to uninstall McAfee and reload the programs. But McAfee won't let me do this, saying I must be the Administrator of the system. I'm the only person who ever uses this PC!! What goes on? Any help would be appreciated.

Try starting in Safe Mode click here - you should then see the Administrator account on the Welcome screen. Log into that and uninstall.

Many thanks to VoG and Ashrich, your assistance was most helpful. I've deleted offending programs, and my PC is now back to speed.
