Hi, I have just changed the noisy cpu fan on my system which is intel quad core, to an akasa 965. Is there any way I can make the system adjust fan speed as necessary rather than going full pelt all the time?

Speedfan is an option

but need to check compatibility with your system as you don't give much info.

It depends on whether your motherboard and BIOS supports vari fan speed control. Find the spec of your mobo from the makers website to check this.
