CPU Bus vs Motherboard Bus speed

I'm looking to tweak the last out of my old PC which currently has an ASUS A7N8X motherboard with an Athlon XP2400 CPU.
Is there any point in me buying an Athlon XP3000 or 3200 CPU which run at 400Mhz when the board only supports 333 FSB?

I've already got the existing setup OC'd to give me 2.1GHz and can't get much more without it becoming unstable.

as far as I am aware the system will run at the speed of the slowest component and therefore not much improvement on what you have.

The lower FSB will reduce the speed of the processor.

However from this chart click here it seems you can get a "Barton Core" XP3000 or XP32000 with 333Mhz FSB
