Cost of sending emails

Do you know if there is a charge for sending emails? I didn't think there was but have been told there is.

What do you mean, from where. Do you mean, it isn't possible to pay only on the eclectic bill. Thats the only way I see it.

no, there's no charge per se.

The slightly longer answer is that of course you're paying for internet access - either indirectly through the use of your electricity supply, or directly, to your Internet Service provider (or both). Each email you send does have a cost implication therefore, but it's so slight as to be negligible.

There is quite a strong lobby group in the USA that wants to introduce a nominal charge for each email. So don't be surprised in the future if the ISP's are taxed and pass the tax on to us in the form of higher internet charges.
