Corrupting Mail Account settings

  jack 14:32 11 May 04

With monotonous regularity my Mail Account settings seem to fail and I get the old familiar
‘Cannot connect error. Then I have to clear the file and tap it all in again ,where upon it works
for a while and then orft we jolly go again.
Why is this I wondered. I took a look at MS knowledge base, nothing new there.
Then I thought,as I have just upgraded to XP from 98SE could this be a reason.
All the old programs are still in place including Zone Alarm
When the sytem is working well Zone Alarm comes up with all its warnings and requests.
When it is not, Zone Alarm stays quiet also.
XP has its own firewall
Is there a possibiltiy of a conflict here, even though I have turned off XP’s own.
Should I unload Zone Alarm and rely on XP?
