Can any one help me with what seems to be a corrupted dll file.
The effect is that I cannot make AOL close down properly
After internet connection the CPU usage (shown by system monitor) stays at 90%+ and I start getting low memory messages.
The AOL sysinfo printout shows this sort of message:-
Error11=07:01:17 06/22/04 2 : KERNEL32.DLL + 0x18f20 (0xbff88f20) 0002:0000ff20
Error12=07:01:17 06/22/04 3 : KERNEL32.DLL + 0x169ef (0xbff869ef) 0002:0000d9ef
Error13=09:37:36 06/21/04 Your computer is running very low on available system resources

repeatedly, and they (AOL) say that Kernel32.dll is the windows mail file and corrupted.

How can I restore or replace it without going through the hassle of a system restore.
I had thought of upgrading to XP but my computer:-

TotalDiskDrives=5
DiskDrive0=Floppy Drive A:
DiskDrive1=HardDiskDrive C: FreeSpace: 33708 MB , TotalSpace: 38152 MB
DiskDrive2=HardDiskDrive D: FreeSpace: 16171 MB , TotalSpace: 19083 MB
DiskDrive3=CD-ROM Drive Q:
DiskDrive4=CD-ROM Drive R:
Processor=x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 3
SysResources=&34% free
Memory=256 MB total (71% load)
OS=Windows 98 4.10 (Build 2222)

would struggle with XP
How can I replace the offending dll?
