corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file

  bullie 18:16 23 May 04

When I boot up, the message "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt : windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.

I can carry on with start up but once I'm logged on, the pane that appears whenever you right click your mouse keeps popping up without doing anything. Very annoying!!

Can anyone tell me how I can reinstall this file before I go insane!

VoG - Windows XP

dawnyworld - Only got product recovery CD's and they don't have that file on them!

rawprawn - microsoft says "the requested web page is not available".

SANTOS7 - This is only good for Windows 2000 & NT.
