Corrupt Excel files - possible to recover

  montyburns 12:08 01 Feb 06

I've got some Excel files that are corrupted. My fault.... :-(

Got them on a USB stick, and accidentally deleted them. Recovered them using "PC Inspector" but although their condition is marked as "good" I'm having no joy opening or even viewing them.

I've tried a few utilities that I've found online, but they either don't work, or just throw out goobledegook

Has anyone got any suggestions for a recovery program that might bring them back in better shape, or alternatively, any ideas of getting the data out of them once recovered?

Thanks in advance!

Tried all those and still not working

Thinking the files are too corrupted, but wondering why? All I did was delete them (OK, off the stick) but then I immediately restored them before they had a chance to be over-written..
