Bios first, change to boot from CD. Then your Xp disk. Then the drivers for your hardware.

Good Luck.

Change BIOS boot order to CD first, boot with XP CD to install XP first. After XP is installed, in XP itself, insert motherboard CD and install what you need. Then graphics card driver if necessary. Then go into Device Manager to see if there are any exclamation marks against any item. If there are, install the drivers for those devices.

Then install XP Windows updates. It may be a good idea to download and burn to CD important security patches such as the Blaster patch and DCOM patch, install those first, before going online to check for Windows updates, or virus definitions.

You may find, that it has an Os on already. If it hasn't, how do they know it's up and running ok.

I'm only pointing this out, because a few years ago, we bought a Pc without Os, but it came with it Win98 pre-installed.
