Core 2 duo or Turion?

I want to buy a budget laptop.
The Acer 5103 WLMi comes with a Turion TL52.
For about £20 more, the Acer 5633 WLMi has a core 2 duo T5500. The rest of the spec is much the same.
I don't want to game with this machine. Am I going to be dissapointed in a short time with the AMD chip?
How much faster is the T5500.
I just can't seem to find this kind of info on the net - maybe its somewhere that I'm not looking!
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have a core2duo lappy and would certainly go for that again if needed.

Im not going to run down the Turion chip, but i would be pretty confident in saying the Intel core2 duo would be a lot faster than the Turion. And better for multi tasking.

Has anyone experience of the Turion - is it reletively quick and cool?
