copying sound files from cd

  Gwynedd 15:26 29 Oct 08

As a beginner, please forgive me for probably asking the obvious.
I have a cd of sound which I wish to transfer in order to associate them with specific tasks -start-up. shutdown etc - the only trouble is I don't know how to transfer them to my pc. Am running Vista Home Premium.

Help, please

I don't use Vista but this is similar to XP:

You should be able to use your intended sounds (in .wav form) by installing them in the Media folder.
