Hi guys. I am running xp home with wmp9. I have some downloaded music that i want to put on to another computer , have tried to copy them using wmp9 library, when it copies them it say,s that its converting them and does in fact copy them. When i load the disc into the other machine it seems to be a read only copy. I want to load the music into media library. The other machine has the same spec as mine. What am I doing wrong.
Thanks

"When i load the disc into the other machine"

What is the disk you refer to? a CD-R / CDRW or a hard disk drive?

You'll need to "rip" the files form the CD as what you have done is created an audio CD using WMP9..

BigMoFoT, if it's an audio CD then I would imagine that the other PC (of same spec) should still be able to read the information, play the CD in WMP9, even if it's a read-only copy, not so?

Why use MediaPlayer? Just burn the folder containing the music to a data CD.
