I've recently been asked if I could transfer some home holiday videos from their current VHS media on to DVD. And while I'm at it could I also do the same for a number of favourite childrens Videos!.
I assume this is possible but I wonder at the quality achievable, is it a wasted effort?
My Pc is a home built P4 3.2ghz with 1gb ddr 2 160gb hard drives. I have a Hauppauge TV card installed and Intervideoes WINTV Suite. I have a spare Samsung VHS recorder which could be connected to the PC and I have a Sony dual layer DVD burner installed. I'm heavily into digital photograhy but have no knowledge of video so i'm looking for an idiots guide to setting this up if its feasible. I seem to recall an article in PCADVISOR some time ago that dealt with this but cant remember the issue.
any assistance greatly appreciated.
