Copying on the fly

I have two drives (a DVD read only and A CDRW drive). I used to be able to copy audio discs on the fly but now my computer says the read speed of the DVD drive is too slow! Any ideas how to sort this out (the DVD is a 16 or 20 speed drive and the CDRW a 40 speed).

Thanks as always,

To record on the fly your reader should be way faster than your writer. Try adjusting the write speed in your burning program.
