Sometime ago I lost my PC's MBR,how I don't know.

Question,If this happens again, how to do I copy the MBR,and how would I re-install it?.

What OS is it XP?

You cannot lose it, it gets damaged or corrupt, the main MBR is at the start of the drive but a copy is put at the end of the drive for rescue

If you use Norton Ghost or something similar you can image the whoel drive and then restore to that point. Even if you could just copy the MBR I am not sure that it does not change as your system evolves. Therefore if you used todays MBR as a restore in 18 months time, it may not work with any new installations you have made in the mean time. You would also need some kind of low level programme to write to disfunct drive.

You also need to be sure of why you lost the MBR in the first place, could be a virus or start of a failing HDD

use xp cd

or ubuntu live cd

Start with XP CD then use and Command Prompt
