copy the hard disk

I am using windows xp. My hard disk is only 20 GB.I just bought a new HD of 80 GB. How can i transfer all my files including the operating system to my new HD. I know that I can use my new HD as a slave first then transfer from my old HD. But what abot all those XP files. Is any cheap programs. I got partition magic.

Hi, You can copy the complete hard drive by using the Free XXCLONE from click here.
It will copy all system files, registry, programs and data files.
Go to the above site and read all about it.
You need XXCLONE for Win XP and XXCOPY for Win 98, etc.
I use XXCOPY to completely back up my Win 98SE every fortnight.

I understand there is a programe which will clone all your information to your new disc,fraid I dont know how to get it but Im sure someone out there will help

Normally the manufacturer of the HDD provides a utility on disc or via their website to enable the contents of the old drive to be copied to the new - as slave. The slave is then made master and should boot.

Look at the manufacturer's website - it should all be there.
