Copy to cd playlist from Win Media Player

I am running Win2k and usually use Nero to burn cd's. Recently I have been compiling 'playlists' on Windows Media player with a view to burning them on a cd. So, one goes file/copy to cd (within Media Player) and up pops a dialog box "Adaptec Easy CD Creator Plug In" with the error message " No cd recording devices detected".

Obviously there is a recording device so I don't understand. Is there a conflict and should I un install Nero whilst I am burning playlists?
If your wondering why I didn't use Nero for this, well it just seemed much simpler and easier to move tracks around.

Easy CD and Nero do not live happily together. You need to get rid of one of them.
