am thinking of putting a bigger hard drive in my pc but was wondering if it was possible to copy everything onto the new hd form the old hd.

EG:drivers, aol setup and some other installed programs.
or should i just do a fresh install and set aol up again.
also is it possible to copy or look for the drivers on d drive (old hd)after i install xp.

Why not leave everything where it is and just install your new bigger HDD as a slave drive...

or clone the drive using Acronis TI 10 click here

Fit your new drive in the pc as slave. Visit the website of the manufacturer of your new hard drive. You'll find some software you can download which will walk you through cloning your old disk contents onto the new one. No faffing around reinstalling anything, looking for drivers, losing your email etc

Afterwards set the new HDD to master and the old one to slave, and you can wipe the old one and use it for storage, backups etc.

If you buy a retail HDD rather than oem, you may find you get the software on disk.
(I'd rather buy a cheaper oem HDD and download the software)
