Cool + Quiet Cases?

  Fruit Bat /\0/\ 09:57 19 Jun 04

There are a lot of tower cases out there on the web and at computer shops and fairs.

Not sure if I want some flashing monstrosity in the corner of my living room (kids won't leave home and give me a bedroom I can use as an office).

Heat is a big danger for components and noise from fans disturb other family members (absolute hush required during Coronation Street but make as much noise as you like when Dad's watching something).

Recommendations for Cases that 1. keep my system cool 2. are reasonably quite 3. size of power supply 4. Don't look out of place in a living environment (no beige boxes)

Thanks /\0/\

Hello Fruit Bat,

I don't think you'll do better than the Antec Sonata in black which includes a nice quiet 380 watt PSU two 120mmm case fan mounts.

You're probably looking at about £90 quid though.

Antecs Sonata link is below :

All my new machines are in Antec Sonata cases with several other (moving) components from quiet PC.
