I have microsoft works and all my files are saved as wps. Is it possible to save these as doc files.

Currently in process of applying for a new job and a lot of employers only accept online resumes if it is in a .doc format.

TIA

.wps is a microsoft works text document.

what version of works?im pretty sure recient version can save as .doc files.

when saving a file click "file/save as" and select ms word(.doc)

if its an old version try saving as .rtf (rich text)this should be supported by almost anything and anybody that recieves it should be able to read it maybe.

if you have office xp, insert the officexp cd, open microsoft word, click open, change "files of type" to all files.

browse to the file you want to open, double click it. microsoft word will pop up a message box asking if you want to install a converter, click yes and let it do its stuff, all being well you should then be able to open and transfer your files to MS Office.

gcs_uk - IF your Works sutie will not save as .doc, give OpenOffice.org a shot - it can save as doc files with no problems. But it is a huge download.
