Anybody know how I can convert my video files, from their DSC format from my camera, to a format more suitable for Facebook. Current 30 sec file is 88Mbytes. Could take a long time to upload. Using Windows 8.1 and can't find a 'Save As' option.

DSC is not the file extension. What are the letters at the end, after the .

or what make and model is your camera?

Sorry, basic error.
.MOV is the current file ext. the camera is a Nikon 1.

My choice would be Freemake www.freemake.com and here's the 'howto' convert any MOV video to AVI or MP4 formats absolutely free ClickHere

others may have different suggestions.
