Converting SVCD to DVD format - advice please

I have a number of video files in SVCD format. I thought it was as simple as opening them in Studio (my editing programme) and re-encoding them to DVD format.

Having tried this (once so far) I found that the video was VERY jerky and the sound was clearly not in sync.

A bit concerned now that I won't be able to re-encode my SVCD's to DVD.

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong, please?

Thanks for the info.

I've read through the site (and added to favourites) and am trying to get the programme appaerently its freeware (but the site is a bit slow.

I'll check this question as resolved while I get sorted out - many thanks
