Have a new digital camera that records quicktime videos. When i try to use these in my normal video editing program will not recognise.
Is there any good free software that will turn these files into normal mpg.

.mov is a proprietary format and appears to be closely protected by apple.

google iRiverter, pretty easy to use and can if set to iriver > PMP140 will have a nice resolution for average viewing and as I know of no cameras with resolutions in movie modes over 640x480 it will be fine. Plus is easy as pie to use.
