Converting a Quick Time *.mov file

Is there a way of converting *.mov files from my Nikon Coolpix so that I can use Windows Movie Maker to edit them.

If you use File | Import into Collections you should be able to browse for and import your Nikon files into Windows Movie Player and work on them.

The original file on your HDD is retained.

Ensure that the Create Clips for Video Files chekc box is enabled.
