Converting to MP3 FORMAT

  star23 11:12 09 Dec 05

I currently have pim file manager software for my usb connection for my Samsung D500
The problam is the ringtone creator on the program is in yamaha format, I would really like to create real tones for my phone?.
I was told to convert the files in to mp3 format, but if my cd tracks are already in mp3 format, how do I send them to my phone?.
Do I need a software upgrade?.

I don't think the d500 plays mp3's I know the d600 does.

ok it does click here for spec.

can you not right click the mp3 file and choose the send to option?

Ok I tried right clicking on mp3 file and then send 2.
But what do I click on at send 2?.

is there no listing for the phone?

On mine, I choose the send to option and then navigate to "Nokia 6230i" which is my phone.

Your connecting by usb, I have my phone connected via bluetooth, which is easier.

Try opening the software for you phone, is there an import or open option in the file menu? Try opening it like that and then save as mp3?
