Converting media files

  fazer 14:12 19 Apr 04

Have recently bought a video editing package but am very disappointed with the title generator (Pinnacle Studio 9).

I was hoping to generate titles using Windows Movie Maker (which is excellent considering its a free download)save the file then import it into Pinnacle. Unfortunately, Movie Maker saves files as "windows Media File" and Pinnacle can only import from my hardisk MPEGs and AVI files.

Therefore, the question is, how do I "convert" these files into an AVI?

Thank you Johnny Rocker. I have downloaded the programmes and plug-ins etc and they play the files well. However,I'm probably being a bit thick here, but I still can't find a way to "convert" the files or in fact, save them in any other format than that of the original sitting on my hard disk.
