My C drive is now converted to the NTSF filing system, but now I want to convert my backup disk,D to the NTSF filing system, instead of the FAT32 system which it now uses. How do I do this, or is it really necessary?

The same way you converted the C drive, replace the drive letter with D.

IMO backup drive? Not necessary.
