Control Panel Display Properties Setting Problem

  terrym 00:01 15 Sep 08

I am runing XP and just found all my setttings under Display Properties are set at the Lowest (4 Bit) setting giving me very big icons that look a mess and I cant' change them to 16 or 32 bit to where they were before even after clicking on either one of them and rebooting to restart so that the change would take effect. Is there a quick fix to this as it driving me crazy?
Thank in advance.

It's normally a graphics driver problem.

Download and re-install the driver for your graphics card or chipset.

Roll back the card graphics driver

Go into Device Manager- Select the display adapter- Right click properties – Click Driver Tab

– Click on Roll Back Driver – Reboot
