Everytime I close the control panel, explorer crashes and it says something about some memory address cannot be read.

i think it happens more when I open the Control Panel then open Add/Remove Programs -> then close that -> then close The panel and it crashes.

Any idea about why this is happening would be amazing :)

you might try going to start,run,type sfc /scanow
you will need your xp instal cd. and you may or may not need to do windows updates after.
this is a good place to start on this problem.
