Constantly refreshing

  Rogerthedog 19:28 08 Mar 04

When browsing the net I keep having to press the refresh button as the page seems to "stick".When I have clicked on a subject, it says "done" at the bottom and if I leave it for a while, the page will open.

I use win 98 & freeserve broadband. Any suggestions.

Hi Roger, sounds like you need to set page caching in your settings.
Click on the "Settings" button under "Temporary Internet files." In the section titled "Check for newer versions of stored pages," choose "Every time you start Internet Explorer." This option will check for new versions of pages each time you open the browser program. If you choose "Every visit to the page," your browsing will be unnecessarily slow. If you choose "Never," you will not get new versions of pages you have seen in the past.
