Constant Port Scanning Attacks

I get many of these when on line. My Firewall (Avanquest) blocks them but it slows the PC for 30 seconds.
'Whois' search shows originator IP address as 192.168.2.1 - The IANA.
How do I stop this activity?
My system runs on broadband and a Belkin router.

Thanks

BW

>>> originator IP address as 192.168.2.1

That is a LAN IP address and is actually the address of your Belkin router!

So how do I prevent it happening? I am not very familiar with this.

Thanks for your help

I'm not familiar with the "Avanquest" firewall, but see if there is a setting to allow full access between the Router (IP address 192.168.2.1) and the PC (which will have a 192.168.2.x address allocated by the router).

I have managed to find the setting for full Router access! It all works perfectly now!
Thanks mgmcc.
