can any one help I dont know if this is normal or not but my hard drive light flashs about once a secound and sometimes stays on for longer periods I also notice the floppy drive light is on at times even when the system is idle with no programs runing. I am using window xp and have run a virus scan with the latest updates.

H/drive light is probably due to programs running in the background, as for floppy, have you saved to it or loaded from it recently?

  obbit 01:03 25 Jan 03

i am guessing that u need more memory

  archerman 01:06 25 Jan 03

I will look into more ram.

  archerman 01:07 25 Jan 03

no I have'nt used the floppy for ages.

  DieSse 01:11 25 Jan 03

This "might" be a sign of virus activity.

  Djohn 01:11 25 Jan 03

obbit, is correct in that you need more mem. 512 or more is good for XP.

Usually the reason for the floppy being accessed is your O/S is looking for a file from there, but it could be other things as well.

Good point DieSse, I forgot that one! :o(
