Connection problems

I have been using BT voyager 2091 router for a few weeks now and everything has been working great. I have a laptop attached wirelessly and a desktop PC attached via the ethernet cable. Yesterday the plug for the router was pulled out by mistake and now the internet on the desktop PC is not working. The laptop is fine. I uninstalled the software on the PC and then re - installed it 3 times. Accoring to the BT software if the ethernet light and internet light is on there should be a connection to the internet. Both of these lights are on but still not able to connect to the internet via bt or internet explorer.
