Connecting VPN via Linksys Wireless Router

I cannot connect to my office via VPN connection.

My previous wireless router (Netgear) installed at home posed no problems but, since it expired and was replaced by a Linksys WAG54, it is has become a problem that is beyond my technical knowhow. I have logged into the Linksys web control panel and followed all the usual channels but to no avail.

Hardware is Dell M70 with built in Intel wireless card. Broadbnd is supplied by BT.

Any help would be appreciated.

Windows XP Professional is your operating system.

What is the program that you use to establish a VPN connection to your office?

I am perfectly aware of what an OS is. The attempted connection is made via Network Connections>Make New Connection in Explorer.

I use a VPN connection called SonicWall. What is yours called?

Have absolutely no idea. Wasn't aware that you needed any external software. I have managed via the software pre-installed on my laptops for the last 30 months. Thanks for your help anyway.

So is it actually a VPN connection or do you simply type an address in Internet Explorer?
