Connecting Video to PC

I wish to connect component and/or composite video to my PC. The PC has USB2 and Firewire inputs but not analogue inputs. Am I correct in thinking that I need to install a video capture card and if so can anybody recommend one.

I use an 'AverMedia DVD EZMaker Gold' pci card. It has video S and composite input sockets for video and sound is input to computer sound i/p socket. It works fine from my VCR and I believe it can be bought for about £30.
