Connecting a TFT Monitor to Windows XP

I have been given a BENQ FP547 monitor and I'd quite like to at least try it.
I have the installation disc and I have downloaded the up to date driver.
The manual (PDF on the disc) tells me to change the monitor from CONTROL PANEL/DISPLAY?ADVANCED; the is no CHANGE option that I can see.

advice would be appreciated.

on your system just now, change the refresh rate to 60Hz, shut down your pc, change the monitors over and reboot.

Agree with Joe R. I got a new monitor last year (tft) all I did was to conect it and boot up, windows found new hardware and all ran smoothly after that.

Thank you both.I have had the monitor for weeks - thought I had lost the CD, eventually downloaded a driver (and that took a bit of finding) then found the disc and read the instructions, looked for the 'CHANGE' button. All to no avail. Switched off, un-plugged the old one, plugged in the new one, pressed 'GO' and there was Windows in glorious techniclour on the new monitor.

Again, my thanks to you both.
