Connecting to PCs together to use a broadband

I have 2 PCs with windows 98es. I would like to know a cheap and easy to link these together to use my broadband connection

You have a number of choices.

1. add a nic card to each machine and then connect them together using a crossover cable. you will be able to share all resources between both machines as well as the broadband on the host.

2. If both machines have usb connections - connect them together as above using wireless usb adaptors.

3. attach each nic to a router. this gives you capacity to add more machines at a later date.

You will need to run some sort of home networking utility in 98. I think this is not as straght forward as XP which I run although you will have to do something that tells windows which is the host machine and which is the client.
