I am unable to get a connection on my laptop via a LAN. My own laptop connected to broadband just by connecting the cable and switching on, my wifes acer aspire 1360 keeps saying no connection. I have unchecked all the boxes in the lan settings box but still no connection. I am using a sparkcom box. any suggestions

Hi, When you connect your laptop to the router Via cat 5 ethernet cable (Straight through) You should be able to see a connecting light at your lan port on the laptop. cheers, Bill
