Hello,

Dear Networking Masters,

I have just bought a HP 520 Notebook and a D-Link Wireless DWL-G510 Wireless Adaptor.

I own an internet connection of local ISP BSNL with UT Starcom Router UT-300R2U connected to my desktop.

My router has an inbuilt DHCP server mode and my internet connection requires it to be on, thus my router has auto-assigned my local IP address to 192.168.1.2 with the gateway 192.168.1.1

I have successfully installed and activated DLINK wireless adapter.
Thus I have 2 connections
1. Local Area Connection (Router and Desktop)
2. Wireless Area Connection (Desktop and Laptop)

I need to access my internet connection and share files between my desktop and laptop.

My Desktop uses Windows XP SP2 as OS and My notebook has Vista Business installed.

Please help.

Regards and thanks in advance....
