Connecting to AOL Wireless with Netgear DG834Gv3

Please help I have connected my desktop to the Netgear DG834G with a few problems but now it's working fine.
I can not connect my Vista laptop to the internet wirelessly.
I have connected with ethernet cable no problem. But every time I try to connect wireless I can see the network and click on it but can not log onto aol.

When you say " click on it " do you actually select your network , double click , put in the WEP or WPA password then click on " connect " let it acquire a network address and wait until it says " connected " ?

yes but it then states limited connection and I can not get on the internet

Double check that you are entering the correct key code for the wireless security , in fact , try temporarily connecting without any encryption first , if that works , re-enable the encryption and try using a different key .

It allows me to connect to the network but not to connect to the internet or sign on to aol.
