Connecting 2x case fans

  sleepy01 15:14 15 May 08

Hi, im in the middle of wiring up a new PC build.
Ive got a thermaltake Soprano case with 2x fans, one at front (intake) one at rear (exhaust) and im using a Corsair 550w PSU.
The fans have a both a male and female molex connector (4-pins) and the MoBo 3-pin connector.
Im just looking for advice on how to connect he power to them. As they have male and female molex do i connect the 2 fans together (male/female)and then connect the PSU to one of the other connectors or do i connect both fans to 2 seperate molex slots on one of the cables?
Hope you can help, thx?

I would be connecting the molex connectors separately to the psu.

Are you sure the 3 pin is not the sensor ?

Dont think it matters. If you use the 3 pin connector the motherboard can regulate the fan speed so they are not as noisy and you can monitor them using software or in the BIOS.
