Connecting 2nd pc.

I want to connect a 2nd PC in a house that is so large as to make cabling difficult. Is it practical to install it using a ADSL modem connected to a phone socket at that location. It would be using same isp and account as the 1st pc.
I realise that only one pc should be online at any one time. My OS is XP Home on broadband. The house in question is a private residence but has 12(twelve) bedrooms and the room in question is the furthest from the 1st pc, hence the cabling problem. My question is, will it work? and are there any foreseeable problems.? Meshuga.

Further to the above, I know that I can use wirelss connection but this is the cheapet option. Meshuga.
