You can only connect to record from your card, if you only have a video out socket.

Don't forget you will also need to pick up the sound from your sound card.

If the video out socket on you card is composite video (a single phono, or RCA plug) - then it can connect into a standard SCART socket on the VCR.

If the video out socket is s-vhs - then you need to have s-vhs input facility on your VCR in order to get a stable/coloured picture.

Then you need whatever set of cables fit your particular set of plugs/sockets - these normally come with the video card, but can be obtained from many electronic accessory shops.

You cannot play into the system, as you don't appear to have a video in socket.
