I have a toshiba laptop which my daughter very kindly cracked the screen and the lcd as bled to the point of no picture at all now, so was wanting to connect it to my panasonic lxd60 tv using the hdmi cable but in the tv handbook it says the hdmi connection is not for computers can anyone give me a good reason why i shouldnt connect them togeather?

hdmi is not a connection for laptops/desktops.
if your laptop has a vga connection and your tv has( i will chek both in a minute) then you can use a standard vga lead

sorry i will correct myself
you can in theory i think conect to a hdmi lead but is not advisable, nor is it widely supported by laptops.
if your manual says not to and you do then it could effect you warranty and garantee

But also why should you not connect to the hdmi socket it is an lcd tv and the laptop is lcd?
