Connect Player

I received an MP3 player for Christmase and have repeatedly had problems with a Connect Player software.The system either freezes or simply shuts down with a message saying "we have encountered a problem" and low in virtual memory.
I have manged to transfer some CDs but onto the sytem and device.
I have learnt how to create space,defragmented and purchased registry clean up software.I have also uninstalled programme and reloaded.Its driving me bonkers.
Any suggestions please!

I have read that there is a problem with the A1000 and its larger brothers software. Sony knows of this problem and has issued a patch. Where you will find it I do not know. Also I find the volume a little low but there are some sites which will tell you how to improve it. Going back to software problem as a last resort talk to the manager of your local Sony shop. If you cant find one there is one in Weavers Wharf shopping centre, Kidderminster. Worcs. Hope this is some help --cant do more as my software works as it was purchased after Xmas and therefore might be a later verion.
