Hi folks can you please advise me on how to connect a cisco 3620 router to a cisco 2514 router.I was told to use a dce to dte cable so I bought one. This cable does plug in to my 2514 router but there is no where for it to plug in to my 3620 router.Do i need to buy something else for my 3620 router or is there another way of doing this.
Regards nige.

As the Cisco 3620 is a modular router, you have to insert cards that suit your needs. As you have a 2514 what use DB60 serial ports you would need to buy a WIC-1T card.

If your 3620 is a bare chassis, you will need a Network Module to insert your WIC-1T card into e.g. NM-1E2W.
