Confine MSN Messenger to one account?

  Charlie Babbage 08:40 12 Mar 06

I'm just setting up a new system using Windows XP Professional.

Is it possible to set up MSN Messenger so that it only opens in one account only? I may have done something wrong on the old machine but Messenger always opened on start up whether I wanted it or not! It is only my son Brian who uses Messenger. Is it possible to set up a user name Brian in which only Messenger will open?

If so, detailed instructions would be appreciated.

start messenger, select tools from menu bar-options-preferences.Then untick; run when windows starts and run in background. This will stop messenger starting until someone selects it from programmes.
