Config system

On boot up I keep getting the message:-
There is an error on line 1 of system config.
file c:\cdrom\ecscdide.sys is missing or corrupted.
Strange thing is that everything seems to be working OK
How do I recover this file and reinstall it.

Go to Start > Search (or Find), search for a file called config.sys

Open the fle, look for a line that contains "ecscdide.sys". Type 'rem' (without quotes) followed by a space at the start of that line, e.g.

load=ecscdide.sys now becomes

rem load=ecscdide.sys

Save and exit the file, reboot, the message should disappear.
