I have set Conditional Formatting on a column of numbers by selecting all of the the cells and applying the following conditions,Red fill cell below 50, green fill cell above 50. My problem is that when I come to place more numbers in the column the new cells do not get formatted.I presumed that the formatting should continue with new entry's. What can I be doing wrong.

It won't automatically copy the CFs unless your data is in a Table (see the Help).

When you add mode data, click in one of the 'old' cells, click the Format Painter on the Home tab then select the 'new' cells. The CFs should be copied.

For "mode" read "more".
