Computer/WMP and PSP issue

I am managing to upload my sons PSP with MP3 tracks ripped off a normal audio-CD using using Media player.

However, a problem we have is that either the computer or media player is also forming a file that lists the name of the cd-album, and within that file there is another file which then contains the tracks. Unfortunately, the PSP can only read music tracks that are contained within its main (named)"Music" file as opposed to reading from files within files.

At the moment, I am having to re-Copy the tracks and then paste them outside the two files formed by the computer. A little inconvenient but am more concerned with degrading the tracks themselves with all this copying and pasting.

Any thoughts please on how to prevent these files being formed?

copying and pasting will not degrade the tracks as they are digital.
